Virtual TNO 10-8Virtual Teen Night Out Presents: "Coping with COVID-19"

On Thursday, October 8, 2020, Youth & Family Services Section will present, “Coping with COVID-19” with a virtual Teen Night Out (TNO) from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The topic will be presented by Arie Koster, Clinical Psychology Student at Alliant International University. The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic may be stressful for people. Fear and anxiety about a new disease and what could happen can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions in teens. Public health actions, such as social distancing can make people feel isolated and lonely, as well as increase stress and anxiety. However, these actions are necessary to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Coping with stress in a healthy way will make a person, the people a person cares about, and the person’s social community stronger. Arie will provide sound ways to the participants so they may better cope with COVID-19.
