Produce and Nutrition Education Distribution

This summer, produce and nutrition education materials will be distributed (while supplies last) at Maple Park on July 28 by Social Justice Learning Institute and on August 4 and 11 by Seeds of Hope, between 10 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. as part of the Cal Fresh Healthy Living Program.

The CalFresh Healthy Living Program is implemented by the LA County Department of Public Health's Nutrition and Physical Activity Program, in partnership with other organizations, such as Social Justice Learning Institute, Seeds of Hope, and Adventist Health Glendale. Community Services & Parks is proud to collaborate in this effort to educate the community and provide free produce.

This program is fully funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and administered by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).
