Celebration of the new Oak of Peace

On October 22, 2023, the Don José Verdugo Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will be hosting a celebration of the new Oak of Peace at Catalina Verdugo Adobe from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The new tree was planted to memorialize the original tree that died of root rot in 1987.
Various family friendly activities will take place throughout the day, including a demonstration of making adobe bricks, a scavenger hunt, and other entertainment for everyone to enjoy! Explore the historic adobe and learn about the history that shaped the city of Glendale.
