Library, Arts & Culture's Annual Contest Showcases Young Bookmark Artists

Bookmark Contest Winners

Glendale, CA - Library, Arts & Culture is pleased to announce the winners of the 2015 Bookmark Contest. Participants were asked to create a bookmark showing what the theme READ to the RHYTHM means to them. The theme for this year's bookmark contest is also the theme for the 2015 Summer Reading Program.

The winners are:

  • Pre K-Kindergarten category - Nicholas Gary, Columbus Elementary
  • 1st-3rd grade category - Chelsea Castro, Edison Elementary
  • 4th-6th grade category - Isabella Durand, Salem Lutheran School
  • 7th-8th grade category - Mary Sarkisyan, Toll Middle School
  • 9th-12th grade category - Valeria Hidalgo, Glendale High School

Winners will have their bookmarks reproduced and distributed at all Library, Arts & Culture locations during the Summer Reading Program from May 26 to July 25. Children up to age 17 can participate in the annual summer reading program. For more information call the Children's Room at 818-458-2035.
