On February 11, 2016 at 10:22 a.m., members of the AB 109 Task Force conducted a compliance check in the 8300 block of Glenoaks Blvd in the City of Sun Valley. Team members were attempting to locate Hovek Arzooian, an Armenian Power gang member on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS).  Aroozian is a past resident of Glendale and had a No Bail PRCS Warrant.

Members of the AB 109 Task Force contacted Aroozian and two other subjects in the motel room. A second male, identified as Gabriyel Kechechyan, was on probation for robbery. Kechechyan is a past resident of Glendale and has an extensive arrest history in Glendale and Burbank.

A search of the room revealed a loaded .40 caliber hand gun with the serial numbers removed and a .380 semi-automatic hand gun. Team members recovered heroin, marijuana, narcotic paraphernalia and several re-encoded credit cards.

A 2010 Toyota Corolla was located parked in front of the motel and linked to Gabriyel Kechechyan. A license plate check revealed the vehicle was a reported stolen to LAPD on February 8, 2016.  Officers searched the vehicle and recovered additional heroin paraphernalia.

Both males were placed under arrest for weapons, fraud, narcotics and vehicle theft violations.
