On December 8th, 2016, the Glendale Police Department arrested a Glendale man suspected of being responsible for numerous package delivery thefts.

The investigation began on December 6th when a witness observed the suspect walk up to a neighbor’s house. He then stole a package sitting near the front door. As the suspect fled the scene, the witness wrote down the license plate to the vehicle. Glendale detectives immediately began working on the case and found the vehicle was associated to a person who matched the description of the suspect.

Detectives soon learned the same suspect was responsible for another theft on a different street in the city. This time, he was caught on a surveillance footage (see attached footage).

On December 8th, Glendale detectives responded to the suspect’s residence in Glendale and found him to be in possession of brand new merchandise and Amazon packages. The suspect was arrested and taken into custody.

The suspect has been identified as 32 year old Elvis Babadjanian.

Although this type of crime is not unique around the holidays, detectives believe Babadjanian may be responsible for more incidents. Anyone with more information is asked to contact the Glendale Police Department at 818-548-4911.

The Glendale Police Department would like to remind everyone to be alert and aware of your surroundings during this holiday season. Please use mail tracking options to track your deliveries and make arrangements either through the vendor or friends and family to assure your packages are not left unattended.
