Virtual Reality Demonstration Day at the Library
GLENDALE, CA - Virtual Reality is here at Library, Arts & Culture thanks to the California State Library Virtual Reality Experience Project. Visitors ages 13+ to Glendale’s Downtown Central Library have a great opportunity to use a VR-enabled computer system with an Oculus Rift headset. Virtual Reality (VR) is a new technology that teens and adults will love to experience. VR is a computer-generated simulation of a three-dimensional image or environment that can be experienced in a seemingly real or physical way by a person using special electronic equipment, such as the Oculus Rift, a helmet with a screen inside. This project is supported in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian, with the generous support of Facebook/Oculus in bringing this innovative project to California's public libraries.
