Final EIR for the Proposed Grayson Repowering Project

Glendale Water and Power has published the Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Proposed Grayson Repowering Project. The Final EIR evaluates the environmental impacts of the proposed project located at 800 Air Way, Glendale, CA 91201. In accordance with CEQA regulations, the Final EIR details any significant impacts the proposed project might have, and, if possible, how the City will mitigate them.

The Final EIR is going to be presented to City Council at the regularly-held meeting on April 10th at 6 p.m.* The proposed project consists of the demolition of most of the existing power generation facilities at the site, and replacement with new, more efficient, reliable, and cleaner power generation facilities.

The Final EIR for the Proposed Grayson Repowering Project can be found here.  Copies of the Final EIR will also be available for public review during business hours at the City of Glendale Community Development Department, located at 633 East Broadway, Room 103, Glendale, CA 91206, at the Glendale Water and Power Administration Office, located at 141 N. Glendale, 4th Floor, Glendale CA 91206, and the Central Library, located at 222 E. Harvard St., Glendale CA 91205.

*At the March 6th City Council meeting, the item was moved from the March 27th City Council agenda to April 10th.
