 Community Invited to Provide Input on Upcoming Beeline Changes

In conjunction with Glendale’s Transportation and Parking Commission meeting on Monday July 22, the City is hosting public workshops to invite community input on recommended service changes to the Glendale Beeline. Members of the public are welcome to participate in any or all of the meetings at Glendale City Hall, 613 E. Broadway.

• The Commission meeting is scheduled from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm


• The Beeline workshops scheduled from 4:00 pm to 5:45 pm and 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

The interactive workshops will provide input to the Transit Route Analysis (TRA), which is reimagining bus service in Glendale. The TRA project will provide a comprehensive view of the City’s current fixed route bus system and prioritized recommendations for service enhancements and improved regional connectivity.  These preliminary service recommendations reflect input received from the community during the first round of public outreach this spring. The July 22nd meetings kick off the second round of community outreach providing the public opportunities to tell team members if we got it right.

Workshops will be conducted in an open house format enabling residents and community members to talk directly with the planning team and provide input regarding specific recommended changes such as revised routes, new routes, improved service frequencies and longer operating hours, and expanded destinations served.  

At the Commission meeting, the project team will share more in-depth information on current Beeline service, results of the on-board and community survey, a review of proposed service changes to meet current needs and building future capacity. Public comment will also be taken at the Commission meeting. At the conclusion of the Commission meeting the workshop will continue to provide the public with the opportunity to have any questions answered and to provide more feedback. Public input will help the planning team fine tune recommendations and prioritize which changes need to happen first before the final recommendations are brought back to the Commission for review in August, and then on to the City Council for approval.

The Commission meeting may be viewed live on GTV6 or online (recorded). The Glendale Civic Center may be accessed by using Metro Lines 90/91,180/181, and 780; or Beeline Routes 3/32 and 4.
