Seeking Help Locating Stolen Dog

Post Date:02/20/2020 1:37 PM

Glendale, CA: On February 20, 2020, just before 3:00 A.M., officers responded to the intersection of Broadway and Orange St. regarding a work truck that was stolen with the victim’s dog inside.

The truck is a 2001, blue, GMC Sierra, C1500, pick-up truck, with license plate of: 6P58119 The owner had left the truck running in order to keep the dog warm while he finished working on the roof of a building adjacent to where the truck was parked.

The victim stated he had a pressure washer in the bed of his truck, along with several hoses and pressure wands.

The victim's 5-month-old, gray/brindle, male, French Bulldog named "Cain" was inside the truck at the time it was stolen. Cain wears a collar with skulls on it, but does not have any tags.

The Glendale Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating the stolen dog, Cain, and vehicle.

We do not believe that the individual who stole the truck knew there was a dog inside, so we are giving anyone with Cain the opportunity to bring him to the Pasadena Humane Society, (626) 792-7151, located at 361 S. Raymond Ave. Pasadena, CA 91105, no questions asked.

Anyone with information that can assist with the investigation is encouraged to contact the Glendale Police Department at 818-548-4911. If you wish to remain anonymous, call the L.A. Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477), use your smartphone by downloading the "P3 MOBILE APP," or go directly to www.lacrimestoppers.org.
