Cities of Burbank, Glendale and Pasadena Collaborate to Create a Joint Brand Identity

Glendale, CA – As efforts to attract employers, talent and investment in the region become more competitive, local city officials have agreed that the best way to stand out in a crowded market is through collaboration among neighboring communities. To this end, the Cities of Burbank, Glendale and Pasadena (“Tri-Cities”) are joining forces to promote their collective and unique brand.

The Economic Development Divisions for the Tri-Cities have issued a joint request for proposals for marketing services with the goal of concentrating their respective strengths and assets to target existing and prospective technology firms, entrepreneurs, and start-ups, as well as the associated pipeline of talent.

The Tri-Cities’ advantageous location within the Greater Los Angeles Region, their joint population of approximately half a million residents, thousands of high paying “hi-tech” jobs and an ever expanding  ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurialism, places them in an ideal position to emerge as a regional technology powerhouse.

Developing a joint marketing strategy will be a first step in creating a collective brand identity for the area as an innovation hub, followed by efforts to promote the area on a local and national level, increasing awareness of institutions, resources, events, and assets in the existing ecosystem.

The RFP is available online on the City of Glendale RFP Page. The tentative timeline for this joint request for proposals is as follows:

  • February 27, 2020 – RFP Release Date
  • March 12, 2020 – Written Questions Due
  • March 19, 2020 – Responses to Written Questions Issued
  • March 26, 2020 – Submission Deadline

Inquiries from prospective applicant must be submitted in writing to sanrodriguez@glendaleca.gov.
