Flags at Half Staff in Honor of Patriot Day

Glendale, CA - American Flags at all Glendale City buildings shall be flown at half-staff from sunrise tomorrow, Friday, September 11th, until sunset that evening in honor of those who lost their lives during the 2001 terrorist attacks. The City of Glendale would also like to extend gratitude to everyone who risked their lives in the aftermath of the attack to assist those in their time of need.

By a joint resolution approved on December 18, 2001, Public Law 107-89 has designated September 11th of each year as "Patriot Day," which also directs that US flags be lowered to half-staff for the entire day on September 11th.
