Four Arrested and Two Guns Seized in One Night

On August 30, 2021 just after midnight, an officer assigned to Glendale Police Department’s patrol unit observed a female with her eyes closed in the driver’s seat of a vehicle parked on the 600 block of N. Brand Blvd. Unsure if the female needed medical attention, the officer approached the vehicle.

In plain sight the officer observed cocaine on the center console. The officer knocked on the window and contacted the woman in the driver’s seat, later identified as 32-year-old Milena Petrosian of Glendale. Petrosian told officers she pulled over and fell asleep because she was tired. Assisting officers arrived, and a search of the vehicle produced a handgun in an unlocked case, loaded magazine, and three baggies of cocaine.

Petrosian was subsequently arrested for carrying a concealed weapon and possessing narcotics.

On September 1, 2021 just after midnight, GPD officers on patrol were notified of a group of people who were looking into a business with flashlights on the 500 block of W. Colorado St.

Upon arriving at the location, officers contacted a male (identified as 22-year-old Andrew De La Cruz Medina of Lake Forest) who was in the area moving objects around in the back of a vehicle. The vehicle was occupied by 22-year-old Alfred Jimenez of Anaheim and 30-year-old Brittney Salazar of Lake Forest.

A search of the vehicle produced a loaded ghost gun in the back of the vehicle and a backpack with a needle and an access card belonging to someone else inside of it.

De La Cruz Medina, and Salazar were arrested for carrying a loaded firearm in public. Jimenez, who claimed ownership of the backpack, was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle with a prior felony, identity theft, and possessing unlawful paraphernalia.
