Shots Fired Incident Update

On Sunday, September 19, 2021, at approximately 2:04 p.m., Glendale PD officers responded to a business on the 1800 block of W Glenoaks Blvd. regarding multiple reports of shots fired at the location.  Upon arrival, officers located an adult male to the front of the location who had suffered from at least one gunshot wound and had been stabbed.  Officers performed life-saving measures and the male was transported to a local hospital where he underwent surgery and is expected to survive his injuries.

A second adult male who was involved in the confrontation had initially fled the scene, but was quickly identified and located by Glendale Police Department officers.  This second male had also sustained an injury from the confrontation and is currently being treated at a hospital in Los Angeles.  No other subjects sustained injuries at the location, and it does not appear that there are any outstanding suspects at this time.  Detectives are actively investigating what led up to the shooting and stabbing; there is information indicating the suspect and victim knew each other.  Further information will be released as it becomes available.
