Male From Public Safety Bulletin Arrested and In Custody for Prowling

Calese Crowder is a current resident of Glendale and has a long history of peeping, prowling and residential burglary activity within the City of Glendale. In June of 2011, Crowder was arrested for a series of peeping and occupied residential burglaries in the City of Glendale and as a result, he was convicted and sentenced to 8 years in prison.

Between April, 2020 and September, 2021, there have been numerous reports of a male involved in late-night residential burglaries, attempted burglaries, window peeping and/or prowling in the City of Glendale around the areas between Linden Ave and Rosedale Ave, north of W Glenoaks Blvd and south of Glenwood Rd. The Glendale Police Department identified Calese Crowder as the suspect involved in these incidents and in the last several months, he has been arrested by GPD multiple times for these prowling and peeping incidents.

On September 5, 2021, just after 2:00 a.m., Crowder was arrested and booked for prowling after he was caught looking into a bedroom window of an occupied residence on the 1900 block of Glenwood Rd, but was released from custody.

On September 17, 2021, at approximately 8:00 p.m., a male matching Crowder’s description was reported looking into a kitchen window of another residence on the 1900 block of Glenwood Rd.  Officers attempted to contact Crowder at his residence that evening, but were unable to locate him.

During the investigation, Crowder was identified as the suspect involved in the September 17th incident.  A public safety bulletin regarding Calese Crowder was posted to the Glendale Police Department’s social media accounts yesterday, 9/22/2021.

Today, September 23, 2021 detectives assigned to Glendale Police Department’s Burglary Bureau executed an arrest warrant for Crowder and he was subsequently arrested for prowling and disorderly conduct, and he remains in custody.
