Male Arrested for Attempted Murder

On November 16, 2021 just before 9:00 a.m., officers assigned to Glendale PD’s patrol and traffic bureaus along with detectives from Glendale PD’s robbery/homicide bureau were dispatched to the intersection of Pacific Ave. and Colorado St. regarding a pedestrian who was hit and dragged by a vehicle a significant distance.  Upon arrival, the pedestrian, who had sustained severe injuries, was immediately transported to a hospital.  After undergoing numerous surgeries, the victim remains in critical condition.

During the investigation, officers received several witness statements and reviewed surveillance footage confirming a vehicle had hit, run over, and dragged a pedestrian from a business parking lot out to the street.

Later that day, detectives assigned to Glendale PD’s robbery/homicide bureau located a vehicle on the 600 block of Hawthorne St. in Glendale that matched the vehicle they had observed on surveillance footage, and were able to identify a suspect.

On November 18, 2021 at approximately 5:30 p.m., after a thorough investigation, 31-year-old Michael Taylor of Los Angeles was arrested and booked for attempted murder.
