Male Arrested in Possession of Loaded Handgun

On November 20, 2021 just before 1:00 a.m., officers assigned to Glendale PD’s patrol bureau were travelling near the intersection of Brand Blvd. and Cypress St. when they noticed a driver who appeared slumped over the wheel.

The officers approached the vehicle and saw that the driver, identified as 27-year-old Luis Pina of Glendale, was conscious and using his phone. While speaking with Pina the officers noticed a handgun on the front passenger seat. Pina was detained, and the handgun was found to be loaded.

Pina was subsequently arrested and booked for carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle.
