Traffic Stop Leads to Male Arrested for Drug Sales

On March 25, 2022 at approximately 3:00 a.m., a Glendale PD patrol officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Verdugo Rd. and Wilson Ave. for equipment violations. Assisting units arrived, and officers spoke with the driver, 43-year-old Richard Jerez of Glendale. Jerez informed officers that there was methamphetamine in the vehicle. A subsequent vehicle search produced methamphetamine, two methamphetamine pipes, a digital scale, five cell phones, and four small clear baggies. Jerez was arrested and booked for possessing a controlled substance for sale.
