Traffic Stop Leads to Location of Multiple Loaded Firearms – Three Arrested

On July 9, 2022 just after midnight, officers assigned to Glendale PD’s patrol bureau conducted a traffic enforcement stop near the intersection of Chevy Chase Dr. and Colorado St. The officers spoke with the driver, 19-year-old Alex Osegueda of Los Angeles, and two passengers, 18-year-old Erick Hernandez (transient) and 22-year-old Uziel Hernandez-Mendoza of Glendale.

During the contact, officers discovered that Osegueda was not licensed to drive a vehicle. The occupants exited the vehicle, and during a consensual search of Hernandez’s person, officers located two loaded pistols and one loaded green tipped rifle on his person. A subsequent search of the vehicle produced another loaded firearm.

Osegueda, Hernandez, and Hernandez-Mendoza were all arrested for carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle. Osegueda was also arrested for driving without a license.
