Male Arrested for Burglary

On July 18, 2022, just after 9:00 p.m., Glendale PD patrol officers responded to a medical office on the 400 block of W. Colorado St. regarding a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers observed broken ceiling tiles. Surveillance footage showed a male suspect fall through the ceiling, walk through the office, and exit out a back door. Officers checked the surrounding location for the suspect but were unable to locate him at that time.

The next day, July 19, 2022, at approximately 10:30 p.m., GPD officers responded to a hospital on the 1500 block of Wilson Terrace regarding a male who was yelling at hospital staff and disturbing the peace. Upon arrival, officers located the male, later identified as 35-year-old Ian Higdem (transient).

During the investigation, officers determined that Higdem matched the suspect description that they had seen on the surveillance footage from the burglary incident the night prior.

Ultimately, Higdem was arrested and booked for burglary.
