Brand Library & Art Center in partnership with Glendale Unified School District presents:

2ND ANNUAL BRAND CLASSROOM SHOWCASE

GLENDALE, CA - Brand Library & Art Center is pleased to announce the opening reception of the 2nd Annual Brand Classroom Showcase of Glendale Unified School District, 2022-2023, on Friday, March 31, from 6-8pm.

Each year the Annual Brand Classroom Showcase of Glendale Unified School District (ABCS of GUSD) features artwork in a wide range of media by upper-level students from the five public high schools in Glendale. Photography, painting, ceramics, sculpture, video, and installation art are represented in this exciting exhibition, which provides students with a public platform for their voices and their art.

The Annual Brand Classroom Showcase is the culminating event in a larger program that provides Glendale high school students the opportunity to learn directly from local art professionals. Students are invited to Brand Library & Art Center each year for a full day of interactive, hands-on learning. The students receive instruction on proper handling and installing artwork, curation, presentation, and marketing. Past guest educators have been from Disney Archives, The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens, and the Museum of Contemporary Art. This year we welcome Matt Ohm, Lead Preparator at the Autry Museum of The American West, and Erin Stone, Co-Director of 11:11 Projects. Educators will provide the students with best practices for handling and installing artwork, practical lessons on supporting their art practice while pursuing an arts career, and insights on marketing their artwork and communicating with galleries.

The 2nd Annual Brand Showcase will be on view from March 31 - April 8, 2023. Join us for the free, public opening reception on Friday, March 31, 6-8pm. Musical performances by Glendale High School students will take place throughout the evening, and refreshments will be served.
