Eight Felony Charges Filed Against Child Sexual Predator

Post Date:10/05/2023 6:51 PM

GLENDALE, CA – Glendale, CA - On Thursday, October 5, 2023, the Los Angeles County District Attorney filed charges against Pedro Antonio Tellez (aka Pedro Antonio Hernandez Llamas). Tellez (29) has been charged with eight felony counts of lewd acts on a child under age 14.

Tellez entered a plea of not guilty in response to these charges, which include allegations of molestation involving at least six elementary school-aged boys.

These charges stem from the parents of two victims who contacted the Glendale Police Department on Monday, October 2nd, alleging Tellez had inappropriately touched their child. Both victims are students at John Muir Elementary School in Glendale.

In response to the allegations, Glendale Police Department Detectives immediately launched an investigation to identify additional victims and witnesses.

Glendale Police Chief Manuel Cid expressed his appreciation for the diligent work of the GPD Detectives, stating, “I want to express my heartfelt thanks to the Glendale Police Department Assaults Bureau for their swift and exemplary investigative work in this case. Their diligence has been instrumental in ensuring that justice is served. I also thank the District Attorney’s Office for their invaluable assistance filing these charges.”

Detectives suspect there may be victims dating back to 2018. Tellez was previously identified as a suspect in a 2018 Glendale Police case that involved the molestation of a minor. Due to a lack of corroborating evidence at that time, the D.A.’s Office was unable to file charges.

This investigation remains ongoing, and additional victims and witnesses may exist. The Glendale Police Department encourages anyone with information about this case to contact the Assaults Bureau at 818-548-4840.

The Glendale Police Department extends our unwavering support to the families impacted by these tragic events.

We extend our thanks to the Glendale community for their support in spreading awareness about this case through social media and personal interactions. We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community, and we appreciate your support.
