CITY OF GLENDALE INVITES YOU TO CELEBRATE EARTH MONTH

GLENDALE, CA - This April, the City of Glendale and the Office of Sustainability invite the community to celebrate Earth Month through a series of environmentally conscious events and initiatives. Themed "Reconnect with the Earth," this year's Earth Month Fest aims to inspire residents to embrace environmental stewardship, deepen their understanding of the planet, and actively participate in sustainable practices.

Highlight of the Month: The Earth Day Fair

The cornerstone event, the Earth Day Fair, is scheduled for Saturday, April 20th, 2024, at Verdugo Park from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This zero-waste fair promises a fun day for families, kids, teens, and adults, featuring a variety of activities including educational activities, interactive games, rock climbing, face painting, carnival games, and more.

Attendees will also enjoy performances by "We Tell Stories" and the "SoCal Mobile Zoo," showcasing cool critters. Over 30 booths from vendors and community groups will be present, alongside food trucks offering delicious eats. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own water bottles, containers, cutlery, and to come the fair by walking, biking, and public transit in honor of Earth Day and to obtain bonus tickets for opportunity draws throughout the day.

This event is a vibrant celebration of our planet, designed to engage all ages in the joy and responsibility of environmental conservation.
