Glendale Police Take Two More Guns Off the Streets

Andy GomezOn the evening of June 6, 2024, Glendale Police Department Special Enforcement Detail (SED) officers conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle for traffic violations in the area of Adams and Palmer. After yielding to the officers, Andy Gomez, 35, of Los Angeles, identified to be a gang member, and a female occupant became uncooperative. They were eventually removed from the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a 9mm ghost gun, unlawful possession of an access card, and narcotics. Both occupants were arrested for various gun, narcotics, and identity theft charges.

Angel Cruz ReyesIn the late hours of June 8, 2024, patrol officers were conducting proactive patrol in the area of Western and Lake due to recent gang related graffiti. During their patrol, they identified a vehicle in the area and made contact. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a loaded firearm underneath the driver seat and gang indicia was also located inside the vehicle. Angel Cruz Reyes, 20, of Burbank and two juveniles were arrested for possession of a concealed firearm in the vehicle along with other gang-related charges.
