PEDESTRIAN HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT - VIDEO RELEASED

Glendale Police Department Seeking the Public's Assistance

The Glendale Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in the identification of the driver of this vehicle. Individuals with information are urged to call 818-548-4911.

On September 18, 2014 at approximately 12:55 pm, Officers responded to a traffic accident at Broadway and Columbus Avenue. A female pedestrian was walking westbound on the south side of Broadway and began to cross to Columbus Avenue. A small, black four door sedan was driving northbound on Columbus Avenue and proceeded to make a right turn onto Broadway. As the vehicle negotiated its turn, the front driver’s side of the vehicle struck the pedestrian, causing her to fall to the ground.

The vehicle failed to remain at the scene and fled eastbound on Broadway.

The driver of the vehicle is described as a female in her 20’s.

The female Glendale resident, Lousine Ghazarian, 80 years old, suffered a laceration to her right knee, a contusion to her right elbow and complained of pain to her right foot. Lousine Ghazarian was treated and transported by Glendale Fire Department to Los Angeles County USC Hospital for precautionary reasons for the non-life threatening injuries.

The traffic collision remains under investigation by Detectives and if anyone has information relating to this accident, they are urged to call the Glendale Police Department Traffic Bureau at 818-548-3131.
