The Glendale Youth Alliance (GYA) is a nonprofit organization and a partnership between government, education, businesses and our community. Glendale community leaders established GYA in 1993 with a mission to provide jobs and employment preparedness training for Glendale's low-income youth ages 14-24. GYA programs are designed to build civic values in Glendale youth, provide a foundation to learn job skills and to become productive participants of the workforce. GYA operates six programs on a spectrum that provide mentored employment to youth and has provided first time employment and training to over 6,900 Glendale area youth.
