Male Arrested for Carrying a Loaded Firearm in Public

On August 19, 2022 just before 10:45 p.m., Glendale PD patrol officers observed a vehicle parked in a disabled parking space without a visible disabled parking placard on the 500 block of W. Colorado St.  officers approached the vehicle, and 21-year-old Isidro Vazquez of Chula Vista walked out of a nearby business toward the vehicle.  Officers could smell a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle and noticed a pipe and packaged bags of marijuana on the passenger side floorboard.  During the investigation officers learned that Vazquez was on active probation.  Vazquez was found to be in possession of a bag containing an unregistered, loaded firearm and over $5,000 in cash.  Vazquez was arrested and booked for carrying a loaded firearm in public.
