Perseid Meteor Shower

You are invited to attend our Perseid Meteor Shower Viewing Party starting at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday night, August 10.  We will keep the park open late that night (until 10:00 p.m.) Back by popular demand are the "Astronomy themed snacks and drinks." Come out and join the party! This event is FREE, but space is limited, so please call (818) 548-3795 to RSVP.  

Our July campfire program will cover survival on a hike or in the wilderness.  We will talk about trail safety (preparing for your hike, what to do if you get lost or hurt), dealing with the summer heat, hiking with your dog, basic first aid tips, etc. Our evening begins with songs, stories, and skits. We finish with a 25 minute presentation followed by smiles and s’mores. Come at 6:30 p.m. for the crafts, or arrive at 7:00 p.m. for the start of the Campfire Program.  Please bring your blankets and dress warmly.
