Lend a Hand at Brand Park, Service Day in Memory of Marc Stirdivant
Please join us in memory of Marc Stirdivant, City of Glendale employee, community activist, and wildlife advocate who passed away in 2019. Marc was a founder of both V.O.I.C.E. – Volunteers Organized in Conserving the Environment; and the Glendale Parks & Open Space Foundation. As an employee for the city, Marc led the Trails and Open Space Program since 2011 and was responsible for establishment of the Verdugo Mountains 10K Trail Run and Hike. After Marc’s retirement he continued to work with the Glendale Parks & Open Space Foundation until his passing on July 30, 2019.
Work may include trail maintenance and removal of invasive plants from the park. Please wear sturdy shoes, protective clothing and a hat. We’ll provide the drinks and snacks. Please RSVP by calling (818) 548-3795.
