Male With Prior Felony Arrested for Carrying Loaded Firearm in Public

 Just after 9:00 a.m. on August 22, 2022, officers assigned to Glendale PD’s patrol bureau conducted a traffic enforcement stop for expired registration near the intersection of Chevy Chase Dr. and Glendale Ave.  The officer contacted the driver, 39-year-old Ryan Legaspi of Glendale, who officers learned had been arrested in January of 2022 by Glendale PD.  Assisting units arrived and a search of Legaspi’s person produced a bag containing four glass containers of methamphetamine.  A vehicle search produced an unregistered, loaded semi-automatic pistol and a portion of a spark plug.  Legaspi was arrested and booked for carrying a loaded firearm in public, carrying a concealed weapon with a prior felony, possessing a controlled substance, controlled substance paraphernalia, and possessing burglary tools.
