The Glendale Police Department is urgently seeking the assistance of the public in locating potential victims of sexual battery

Post Date:10/02/2023 1:00 PM

Since 2020, The Glendale Police Department has received multiple reports of sexual battery incidents at a local business. These disturbing reports point to Marcello Tagliente, the owner and instructor of MGT Insurance, located in the 600 block of W. Broadway, as the alleged perpetrator of these offenses.

Marcello Tagliente

Victims allege that Tagliente would lure them into his office under the guise of assisting his insurance students in preparing for licensure exams. Once alone, he is reported to have sexually battered these students, including several young women in their twenties.

Following a thorough investigation in 2020, Tagliente was arrested by Glendale Police Department Detectives. Since his initial arrest, GPD has received three additional reports, all alleging incidents of sexual battery involving Tagliente.

This week, Tagliente has been formally charged with sexual battery. However, we are actively seeking any additional victims who may have suffered similar experiences.

If you or someone you know has been a victim of sexual battery, we urge you to come forward and contact the Glendale Police Department Assaults Bureau at 818-548-4840. Your information is crucial.

The Glendale Police Department remains committed to the safety and well-being of our community members, and we are dedicated to holding those responsible for such heinous acts accountable for their actions.
