Fire Administration provides direction, oversight, and management of the fire department organization.
As the fourth-largest city in Los Angeles County and the 24th-largest city in California, Glendale encompasses an area of 30.59 square miles and is home to almost 200,000 residents which the Glendale Fire Department proudly serves.
Staffing includes 240 sworn and non-sworn personnel, with at least 50 sworn members on duty every hour of every day. Fire Administration oversees all personnel and operations and ensures the delivery of Class 1 service to the community on a 24/7 basis.
