Annual Student Art
Contest is Now Open!

 

Glendale students, grab your art supplies and get creative! It's time to participate in our annual “Being Water Wise Is....” Student Art Contest. The art contest is open to all K-12th grade Glendale students. Students are asked to submit artwork portraying the water-wise theme "being water wise is....", along with a short message about water conservation. 

First place winner will receive a iPad mini, 2nd place winner will receive a $50 Barnes & Noble Gift Card, and 3rd place winner will receive a $25 Barnes & Noble Gift Card for their talents. In addition, a total of 15 entries will be selected by GWP to compete in the regional art contest hosted by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California for consideration of inclusion in their annual Water is Life calendar.

Artwork must be submitted with a completed Poster Information Card and Parental Approval Form and emailed to GWPConservation@glendaleca.gov

Deadline to submit artwork is Monday, June 3, 2024.  We look forward to seeing creative artwork from our talented Glendale students!

Congratulations to the winners! 

Sophia Doh, a 3rd grade student from Monte Vista Elementary School, took first place. Jaden Zheng, a 6th grade student from Fremont Elementary School, came in second place. And Yoomin Lee, a 10th grade student from Crescenta Valley High School, came in third place.

A total of 13 entries were selected by GWP and submitted to Metropolitan Water District (MWD) for a final round of competition, and additional prizes and recognition. Congratulations and good luck to our finalists! Enjoy the winners' gallery below.
