Background Information:

Glendale Water and Power (GWP)  continues to improve the City’s water infrastructure in order to deliver reliable and high quality water to its customers.  As part of its capital improvement efforts, GWP has implemented a capital improvement program to systematically rehabilitate welded steel water storage tanks based on field inspection and evaluation of the condition of the tank coating system and  structural and safety features.  Emerald Isle 1666 Potable Water Tank and Glendale Recycled Water Tank have been scheduled for rehabilitation in Fiscal Year 2022-2023

Scope of Work:

The work generally includes application of protective coatings to interior surfaces and paint to exterior surfaces, including surface preparation, handling of hazardous and nonhazardous materials/wastes, disinfection of interior surfaces, replacing safety ladder in the tank, remove existing exterior ladder and install new spiral stairway, and modification of miscellaneous structural items to bring the structure into compliance with current safety and health codes.  License Type Required: Class A and C-33.   ***Specifications and Plans are available upon request.***  

Construction Schedule:

Begin: Mid Spring 2022
End: Late Fall 2023
