01/17/17: City Council in Your Neighborhood - Transportation Summit
The Transportation Summit focused on the vision for future transit connectivity and mobility within the City of Glendale. It featured a panel discussion led by various transportation officials. A presentation about the South Glendale Community Plan covered transportation in Glendale - past, present and future.

SUMMER 2016
City Council conducted a series of study sessions about the South Glendale Community Plan in the Summer of 2016. Each of these meetings covered different topics related to South Glendale and the environmental impact report (EIR) being prepared for the South Glendale Community Plan. The purpose of these study sessions was to discuss the land use and transportation framework, the planning direction for the area, and for Council to provide direction for the project and alternatives they would like to see studied in the draft EIR.

7/12/16:  What is the South Glendale Community Plan and a History of South Glendale Development
History of development actions in South Glendale and why we need a community plan. Past down-zonings and overdeveloped residential properties are reflected in the development pattern. The development pattern, existing zoning and transportation network—including transit oriented development- set parameters for future growth.

7/19/16:  The Future of Residential Neighborhoods in South Glendale
Review of the residential areas, centers,corridors and neighborhoods (planning areas in the Community Plan).  Some discussion of small lot subdivisions and condominium conversions. Maintain-Enhance-Transform map discussion. Staff will ask Council to provide direction for analysis of the project and two alternatives for preparation of the EIR.

8/30/16:  Recap Regarding the South Glendale Community Plan Workshop
Summary of the workshops held on 7/12, 7/19, and 7/26 and request for Council direction for next steps based on feedback they provided during workshops. Request for Council's approval of a Professional Services Agreement for a Plan-wide historic survey.
